SecureLite

Terms

The terms, in plain words.

These terms cover this website and the free SecureLite plugin. Paid services and SecureLite Cloud will have their own terms when you buy them.

Last updated 30 October 2026

In short

  • The plugin is free, open source, and yours to use on as many sites as you like.
  • It's provided as it is. Its reports show which checks passed, not that a site can't be hacked.
  • Paid help from PixelGravitas is agreed and priced before any work starts.
  • Joining the waitlist or answering the survey commits you to nothing.

The SecureLite plugin

SecureLite Security is free software, released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, the same licence as WordPress. You may use it on any number of sites, change it, and share it under that licence.

As the licence says, the plugin is provided without any warranty. We test every release carefully and fix problems quickly, but we can't promise it will suit every site, work with every other plugin, or never have a fault.

What the plugin can and can't promise

No security software can make a website impossible to hack. SecureLite reduces common risks and shows you which of its protections are working.

  • An Attack Simulation report shows which checks passed on your site at that moment. It isn't a guarantee or a certificate of security.
  • It tests SecureLite's own protections, not your host's or your CDN's firewall.
  • It can't stop a very large flood of traffic, or code that runs without WordPress loading.
  • Keep backups of your site. The plugin doesn't make them.

Paid services

Malware removal, server hardening and care plans are provided by PixelGravitas. The price and scope are agreed with you before any work starts, under the terms shown on pixelgravitas.com or in your quote.

SecureLite Cloud

Cloud isn't on sale yet. Joining the waitlist doesn't commit you to buy anything, and doesn't reserve a price. We'll publish Cloud's terms and prices before anyone is charged.

Names and trademarks

WordPress is a trademark of the WordPress Foundation. SecureLite isn't made, endorsed or supported by WordPress.org or the WordPress Foundation. Other product names belong to their owners.

Responsibility

As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for loss or damage arising from using this website or the free plugin, including lost data, lost income, or a site being hacked. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Chennai have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you a right to use your own courts.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The plugin's licence never changes for a version you already have.
